Building Resilience in Coal Country

WAFERx grad student, Kelli Roemer, recently spoke at a meeting in Beulah, North Dakota called "Building Resilience in Coal Country" where she presented on how coal-reliant communities are planning for plant and mine closures. In the face of continuing economic pressure on coal markets and several recent coal industry bankruptcies, Kelli's research address strategies for how communities can prepare for potential loss of revenue and jobs.
